Gallery and  Artotheek 'De Vlaming' was established in 1992 in Zoetermeer, in a monumental, former farmhouse built in 1850. Currently Gallery and Artotheek 'De Vlaming' has two locations.
In Den Haag the gallery is located in a nineteenth-century building in the Anna Paulownastraat. This very stylish street is connecting the Vredespaleis with the Prinsenstraat and the Noordeinde and many other places of interest.
In the Anna Paulownastraat live different artists and their studios and there are already several art galleries located. In 'De Vlaming' in Den Haag Harry Englebert is your host.
In Zoetermeer the gallery is located on the fist floor of a paintshop in the Dorpsstraat, the old centre of this new town. Your host in Zoetermeer is Theo Eerden.

• What has 'De Vlaming' to offer?

The gallery is organizing solo expositions as well as thematic and group expositions of artists featuring paintings, sculptures and also gardensculptures. There are also several displays of spatial works to admire.
Artotheek 'De Vlaming' presents a wide range of art available for rent. Both privat persons and firms can rent paintings and sculptures out of the extensive art collection which is compromising qualitative contemporary works of art by professional artists. The two-dimensional paintings are almost all framed and provided with a suspension system. The collection is regularly updated with new acquisitions.
Members of the Artotheek can rent one or more works of art from the collection. Everybody can become a member of the Artotheek after identification. You can rent any painting or sculpture for as many months as you like, with a minimum of three months. The Artotheek will fully apply the rental fees paid toward the purchase price.
The rental fees depend on the value of the work of art: Up to € 500 the rental fee is € 12,50 per month. Up to € 1000 the rental fee is € 25 per month etc.
The one-time fee to become a member of the Artotheek is € 10. In case you return a work of art, the rental fees paid for that work cannot be applied toward another work of art.
